Draft — pending legal review. This is placeholder boilerplate, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review and customize it (especially liability limits, governing law, and the acceptable-use rules for the email outreach feature) before relying on it.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using CommunityOS, you agree to these terms. If you're using CommunityOS on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf and confirming you have authority to do so.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use CommunityOS to:

  • Violate any law, or the terms of service of any connected platform (Discord, Slack, Telegram, etc.).
  • Send unsolicited bulk email to recipients who haven't interacted with your organization, purchase or scrape email lists, or otherwise misuse the outreach/sequencing features contrary to applicable anti-spam law (e.g. CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR).
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Upload content you don't have the right to use, or that infringes on others' rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, including outreach features specifically if we receive credible spam or abuse complaints.

4. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the content and data you put into CommunityOS. You grant us the right to host, process, and display it as necessary to provide the service.

5. Third-party platforms

Features that connect to Discord, Slack, Telegram, and other platforms are subject to those platforms' own terms. We're not responsible for changes, outages, or restrictions those platforms impose.

6. Termination

You may stop using CommunityOS and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

CommunityOS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
